When commissioning video for your charity or organisation you need to see a return on the investment. There is no point having a beautiful film that doesn’t have a purpose and help you achieve your goals.
A common goal of charity videos is fundraising at events or as part of a social media campaign. However, Justice & Care work with the police to rescue victims of slavery and bring criminal networks to justice. Due to the sensitive nature of their work and the people featured, it isn’t always appropriate to share their films online. Instead they are screened at private meetings for potential donors.
I was delighted when they got in touch to say that;
“One showing of the film alone helped generate a further £18k of funding”.
Jamie Fyleman, Director of Global Development and Communications
This is the power of video.
I have permission to share a short extract with (the victims’ parts removed) to illustrate how they used video to concisely share what their victim navigators do and the impact they are making.
What stories could you tell to increase your impact?
